Inquiry

“A living thing consumes, grows, breathes, adapts to its environment and perishes.”
                                                                                                         Room 8, 2015

Koalas are very interesting to me because they have different habitats and there is a lot to learn about them like “did you know that koalas sleep 20 out of 24 hours a day?” That's my favourite fact as well.
I got most of my info from one website it was quite a good one. My mum and sister helped me so did Lani. It my topic I learned a lot about the koalas life.

Writing

We are leaning to write a formal letter.
We wrote to the Hastings District Council and we told them our opinion about the changing the speed limit from Hastings to Clive.

The speed limit was being changed back to 100kmp from 80kmp. I strongly dicergree with the change because the roads are not safe when there up to 100kmp.

Swimming

In swimming I have been part of the eels group.

I have been learning to:

  • Kick on our front and back

  • Use the correct arms for freestyle and back stroke

  • Dive

I am most proud of:

  • Backstroke

I now need to work on doing:

  • Freestyle

  • Using correct arms for freestyle

  • Learn when to breathe in at the right time in freestyle
